About the Groups

HCC's Relapse Prevention Support Groups:

  • Have a time-limited agenda that is based upon group members sharing their personal experiences of relapse and working on preventing relapse with other group members.

  • Keep the focus on identifying and managing the early warning signs of relapse in group members.

  • Encourage group members to talk openly and honestly about their past relapse episodes what caused them to start using again, what they did to get back into recovery, and what they are going to do differently because of what they learned.

  • Focus on the relapse prevention tools that can be used to identify and manage early relapse warning signs and get back into stable recovery.
